SUZANNE L. THOMAS, PHD: RESEARCH SCIENTIST, INTERACTIONS AND EXPERIENCE RESEARCH, INTEL LABS

Suzanne brings an ethnographic sensibility to her study of social and cultural economies, ranging from rural agricultural development and trashy television production in China to public education and digital imaging worldwide.  As the circulation of data increasingly shapes peoples’ experiences in these realms, she asks, how can data be crafted to boost openly diverse and everyday economic participation? Suzanne has a PhD in Communications from UCSD and a MA in Anthropology from Stanford. In her spare time, she corrals two rascally kids and wonders when she’ll get back to watching more Hong Kong martial arts films.
